Fudge Brownies

1 c. butter or margarine
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Melt butter and chocolate in pan. Remove from heat; add sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Add vanilla. Stir in flour and nuts. Mix well. Spread in pan (greased) and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
