Blond Chocolate Chip Brownies 1/3 c Butter or margarine, soften
1 c Firmly packed brown sugar
1 Egg
1 ts Vanilla extract
1 c All-purpose flour
1/4 ts Baking soda
1/4 ts Salt
1/2 c Semisweet chocolate morsels
1/2 c Chopped pecans
Cream butter; gradually add brown sugar, beating well at medium speed of an electric mixer. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Combine flour, soda, and salt; add to creamed mixture, and mix well. Stir in chocolate morsels and pecans. Spread mixture into a greased 8-inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool and cut into squares. Yield: 16 brownies.
