Fudge Brownie

1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. cocoa or less if you like
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
1/2 c. nuts if desired

Mix shortening, sugar and eggs well, add cocoa, salt, flour and vanilla, beat well. Pour into greased loaf pan, bake at 350 degrees 25 minutes.
